About slopecalculators.com

Last updated: 29 August 2026

Free slope calculators for maths class, the roof, the ramp and the pipe run. Every answer shows its working, because an answer you cannot check is not much use.

Why this site exists

Most slope calculators give you a number and stop. That is fine if you already know the method and you are just saving keystrokes. It is no help at all to a student who has to show working, or to a contractor who has to justify a figure to an inspector.

So every calculator here prints its steps. Fractions stay fractions, because a marking scheme wants −1/2 and not −0.5. Vertical lines return an answer rather than an error, because “undefined” is the answer, not a failure. Where a page states a code figure, the standard is named so you can go and read it yourself.

Who writes it

slopecalculators.com is operated by Muhammad Bilal, an independent publisher based in Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan. The site is not owned by a company and carries no advertising. It is written, built and maintained in-house.

How the content is reviewed

Getting the maths right is one thing. Getting the trade pages right is another, and it is not something you can do from a textbook. A ramp calculator has to match how ramps are actually built and inspected, and a pipe slope page has to match how a sewer run is actually laid.

For that we asked a firm that does the work. M/s Muhammad Idrees (Govt. Contractor) is a government contracting firm in Bahawalpur, Punjab, with more than twenty years on highways, sewerage and building department contracts. Its owner, Muhammad Idrees, and its qualified surveyor, Ghulam Abbas, review our calculators and our written content, and tell us where something does not match practice. Where they raise a point, we fix the page.

The firm can be found here: Facebook page and Bahawalpur business listing.

Review is not sponsorship. The firm does not pay for placement here, and we do not sell anything on their behalf. They are named because a reader deserves to know who checked a page and to be able to look them up.

Sources

The trade pages cite the published standard: the ADA Standards for Accessible Design for accessible routes and ramps, the International Residential and Building Codes where they apply, and manufacturer or authority guidance for drainage. The maths pages cite open textbooks such as OpenStax and LibreTexts. Every source is named on the page that relies on it, with the section, so you can check the claim rather than take our word for it.

Corrections

If a calculator is wrong, or a page is out of date, or a standard has been revised and we have missed it, tell us: hello@slopecalculators.com. We would rather be corrected than be quoted.
