Privacy Policy

This site is a set of free calculators. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy, and no account to create, so there is very little about you for us to hold. This page says plainly what there is.

The short version

• No account, no login, no password.
• No payments, so no card or bank details ever reach this site.
• Nothing you type into a calculator is sent anywhere. It is worked out in your browser and it stays there.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal information. There is no advertising network on this site.

What the calculators do with your numbers

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The rise, the run, the slope, the two points, the function you typed: none of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and none of it is stored. Close the tab and it is gone. You can confirm this by opening your browser tools and watching the network tab while you press Calculate. Nothing goes out.

Visit statistics

We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to see which pages people reach and which ones fail them. That tells us your approximate location from your IP address, the pages you viewed, roughly how long you stayed, the site or search that sent you, and your browser and device type. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to work it out.

Google sets cookies to do this. If you would rather not be counted, browser-level tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google’s own opt-out add-on will all stop it, and the calculators work exactly the same either way.

If you email us or use the contact form

Then we have your email address, your name if you gave one, and whatever you wrote. We use it to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. Correspondence is kept while it is useful and deleted when it is not, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.

Hosting and caching

The site runs on standard web hosting with a caching layer. Like almost every web server, it writes access logs that include IP addresses, and those logs rotate and are overwritten on the host’s normal schedule. A caching cookie may be set to serve you the right version of a page. Neither is used to profile you.

Children

These are school and trade calculators, so students use them, and that is exactly what they are for. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. There is nothing here to sign up to and nothing that asks a visitor who they are.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice, unless you have emailed us, the answer is that we hold nothing that identifies you. Either way, write to hello@slopecalculators.com and we will answer.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not quietly start collecting something this page says we do not.
