Plain terms for a free site. Using slopecalculators.com means you accept them.

What you may do

Use every calculator here, as often as you like, for schoolwork, coursework, teaching, quoting, estimating and building. No account, no fee, no permission needed. Teachers may link these pages to a class, put them on a worksheet, or project them in a lesson.

You may quote a short passage with a link back. You may not republish a page wholesale, and you may not copy the calculator engine into your own site or app. The tools took real work to build and check.

What you may not do

• Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, or run automated requests against it at volume.
• Copy the calculator code, in whole or in part, into another product.
• Republish the written content as your own, with or without edits.
• Present results from this site as though they were reviewed or approved for your specific project.

The results

The calculators are free, and they are provided as they are. We check the arithmetic and we cite our sources, but we do not warrant that any result fits your project, your code, or your jurisdiction. Read the disclaimer before you use a number from this site for anything that gets built. It is the important page, not this one.

Availability

We try to keep the site up and current. We do not promise it will be available at any given moment, and we may change, move or retire a calculator. Where a page is corrected, the date at the foot of it changes.

Links out

We link to standards, textbooks and manufacturers because they back up something on the page. Those sites are not ours and their content is their own. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the far end of it.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, slopecalculators.com is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on anything published here. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitation applies as far as it legally can and no further.

Changes to these terms

These terms can change. The date at the top of the page tells you when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
